1st November 2018 – ALL SAINTS’ DAY! in the company of witnesses “next door saints” (Gaudete et exsultate, 6-9) after the Synod, towards Panama.
The day, when the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of All Saints, is the best day to stop and pray with them and to remember the countless Catholic Action men, women and priest assistants, who gave a comprehensive testimony of love in the following of Jesus by giving us a CA school of holiness, a challenge even for the present day.
They are our most authentic identity card as Catholic Action!
This year, as we are on our way after the Synod, towards Panama, we would like to thank the Lord for the many CA witnesses, our fellow travellers, who are venerated in so many local Churches and who are known throughout the Church.
A SIMPLE SUGGESTION a concrete way to celebrate the feast of All Saints: on the 1st of November

We suggest some witnesses, first among these Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who has accompanied us in all WYD’s, particularly after the beatification in 1990.

*** on the 19th March Pope Francis gave us the apostolic exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate ON THE CALL TO SANCTITY IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD where we can find “our next door saints” (.6-9) .We invite you to read it all!
2. My humble goal is to resonate once again the call to holiness, trying to embody it in the current context, with its risks, challenges and opportunities. Because the Lord has chosen each one of us “so that we may be holy and blameless before him in love” ( Eph 1: 4).
(…) 177 I hope these pages may be useful so that the whole Church may be dedicated to promoting the desire for holiness. Let us ask that the Holy Spirit may infuse in us an intense desire to be saints for the greater glory of God and to encourage one another in this attempt. In this way we will be sharing a happiness that the world cannot take away from us.
