Thanks Benedict XVI

The International Forum of Catholic Action joins in thanking God for the gift of life and witness of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

We have experienced as believing people his theological reflection in the spirit of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, the love of the Shepherd expressed in his teachings, his accompaniment, his commitment, his donation and his humble renunciation.

As Catholic Action we have also received his wise magisterium. “Remain firm in the faith!” with the all Church we take up his invitation, his call to co-responsibility and holiness.

Together with Pope Francis we express our admiration for his discipleship, his fidelity to Jesus Christ in the Church and in the world faced with the important and urgent challenges of our time.

Let us ask Mary and St Joseph and our Saints and Blessed to accompany Joseph Ratzinger on his journey towards the definitive encounter with the almighty and merciful God: Deus caritas est.
