UKRAINE Day of the Laity on line 24th June 2020
Our meeting is dedicated to the Day of the Laity, which is celebrated in the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church (UGCC) on June 26. The patron for the laity of UGCC is Blessed Martyr Volodymyr Priyma (on June 26, 1941, on their way back after giving the Holy Sacraments to ill woman, parish priest Mykola Konrad and cantor of the parish Volodymyr Pryima were murdered by the NKVD (soviet soldiers) in the forest).
The topic of the meeting will be “The vocation and mission of the laity today” based on CHRISTIFIDELES LAICI, the post-synodal apostolic teaching of the Holy Father John Paul II.
His Beatitude Patriarch Sviatoslav, the Head of the UGCC, will address the participants of the online meeting with his father’s word and blessing.
