Main goals:
• To set up a working team with a representative for every diocese
• To train leaders who are responsible for CA Diocesan/Parish Groups

Implementation Strategy:
Suggested  dates – 11th –  15th Dec or  4th –  8th Dec – First meeting in Bethany House
“Being lay faithful in Kenya today
CA and lay formation in the local church”

Programme:
– Review the activities related to this project held from September to November
– Study of the following documents Christifideles Laici, Evangelization in Kenya, Lineamenta II African Synod
– Group work to train participants in leadership skills (eg: how to animate a group/small
Christian communities; how to plan a project; how to coordinate work)

Preparatory work for this meeting:
September to November 2006
At Diocesan Level:
• Contact  Bishops and give them a report about the meeting held in Bethany House from the13th to the16th Aug 2006. Present them with a copy of the Pope’s message for the occasion.
• Plan the diocesan project involving also other diocesan leaders and CA Priest Assistants. – With the approval of the Bishop involve other associations which bear the four characteristic notes outlined in Apostolicam Actuositatem 20
• Identify the participants who will be attending the December Meeting – not more than 8. These should be ready to commit themselves to this project and should be willing to follow up this project for the coming two years.

January-July 2007 – training at parish/denary level

50th Anniversary of Nyeri CA – “ CA in Kenya today”
